The Espace La Rochefoucauld has 40 air-conditioned rooms spread over five floors in the 9th district of Paris.

We selected this place for its fantastic location, shaded courtyard, panoramic terrace with a breathtaking view of the rooftops of Paris, and  exceptional location, in a neighborhood that is both modern and yet steeped in history.

This exceptional location is situated in a lively business district, only five minutes from Saint-Lazare train station. Nearby you will find numerous hotels and quality restaurants, department stores and the Opera Garnier.

A historic witness of French art

The Espace La Rochefoucauld is located just a few steps away from the Saint-Georges slopes.

Like its eponymous street, it takes its name from Catherine de La Rochefoucauld, one of the last abbesses of the Montmartre convent, which was closed and destroyed in 1790. At the beginning of the 19th century, numerous buildings and mansions were erected in the middle of fields and orchards. The resulting district was then called “New Athens”.

In 1813, the painter Géricault thus settled on Rue des Martyrs and lived there until his death in 1824. In 1839, the novelist George Sand rented two pavilions at the end of a garden on Pigalle Street. Eugène Delacroix established his studio and his apartment, from 1844 to 1857, on rue Notre-Dame-de-Lorette. Paul Gauguin was born in 1948 in the house next door.

A vibrant business district

The Saint-Lazare district is home to numerous offices in remarkable ashlar buildings. Every day, the station unloads tens of thousands of workers from all over Île-de-France.

Near the Espace La Rochefoucauld, there is no shortage of cultural sites. The Museum of Romantic Life, located in the house of the painter Ary Scheffer, recreates a harmonious historical setting, evoking the Romantic era. You can also visit the Grevin Museum, with its famous wax figures, or walk to the Place de l'Opéra.

A little further north, you will find the Montmartre hill and can freely explore its cobbled streets and charming staircases, before reaching the square in front of the Sacré Coeur, which offers an exceptional panoramic view of the capital.

For almost four decades, Espace La Rochefoucauld has welcomed companies, associations and institutions every day. This space welcomes BUSINESS meetings and EVENTs for audiences from around the globe.

In fact, we successfully hosted the polling station for the Brazilian presidential election, as well as the production of numerous films.
