Spaces combining history and modernity
Between the hustle and bustle of a capital like Paris and the calm sought after in a business district: this is the challenge taken up at Formeret, by developing meeting places in the heart of Paris. These former mansions are located in the 2nd and 9th districts of Paris where neighborhood life predominates: What is the history of these streets? Who are its traders? Its inhabitants? What kind of life does the area around our buildings live? With heart and experience, we know the capital from the back of the cobbles.
The 2nd arrondissement: Old Paris
Espace Vinci and Espace Cléry are located in Old Paris, a sector of the 2nd arrondissement. Having become a renowned business district, it is also an arrondissement with a rich past, known in particular for the textile Rue du Sentier and Madame de Pompadour, the lively streets of Montorgueil, the Galerie Vivienne, the Vivienne Gallery, the Passage des Panoramas where many artisans and creators have come to settle there...
Ode to the light under the glass roofs of Cléry
Located on the edge of the pedestrian streets of Montorgueil, in the rue de Cléry, this eponymous space is renowned for its glass roof, whose Eiffel inspiration is brilliant. This glass roof was born from the union of two historic buildings, at the beginning of the 20th century, which turns out to be the former residence of the French painter, Madame Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun, a great portrait painter at the court of Marie-Antoinette and Louis XVI.
The Espace Cléry, occupying a central geographical position, is also located near the former Cemetery of the Innocents, which closed in 1780. Another anecdote: Mozart's mother was buried there.
To date, Espace Cléry amazes and surprises with its sensational character, its majestic luminosity, its stunning architecture on all floors, and its 200 m2 of lounge dedicated to receptions and conferences.
Walking on the pavements of Mr Leonardo da Vinci
This surname was chosen in honor of the legendary painter Mr. Leonardo da Vinci whose square of knowledge refers to the corners of the tree-lined courtyard of the urban space. Located in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris, a few steps from its sidekick Cléry, it has defied the years since its creation in the 1730s with the plans of Turgot.
Espace Vinci is located in a district where history and culture combine: Bordering the residence of Madame de Pompadour; A strong woman at the origin of the development of fabric and silk in the essential district of Le Sentier; who had a strong desire to bring originality to the decorative styles of Louis XIV.
With a total area of 4000 m2 including 1000 m2, formerly stables, this place was the private mansion of a farmer-general. Over the centuries, transformations have taken place there: wings are added, walls are being erased, modern rooms are being created...
The 9th arrondissement: Historic Faubourg
The Espace la Rochefoucauld has the privilege of being surrounded by illustrious museums such as Gustave Moreau, that of Romantic Life, Grévin Paris..., not to mention the Opera Garnier and the essential addresses of Parisian fashion.
Terrace overlooking the Sacré-Coeur
In the 19th century, it was customary for the high nobility to build luxurious and vast houses, in principle on several floors, to be inhabited by only one family: the famous private mansions. One of them was once the convent of the abbesses of Madame Catherine de La Rochefoucauld... Then, became the Espace de la Rochefoucauld, dedicated to the events sector, with forty rooms including a 5th floor that can be privatized with a spectacular view of the Sacré-Coeur.
Located in an eminently Parisian district also called “New Athens”, it is here, between the numerous mansions and the cultural, artistic and intellectual scene (writers, actors, painters, musicians, etc.) that we receive our customers.
“These buildings were waiting for me. Each of them was a real crush, a strong emotion, the beginning of a vision. For the renovations, we surrounded ourselves well: first of all, to preserve the history, and then the beauty of the place, in line always with the challenges and ambitions of the 21st century. We are proud to welcome new guests into these diverse spaces every day.” — Madame Sassi, President of the Formeret Group.
Three spaces in the heart of the capital whose history resonates: On the pavements of a tree-lined courtyard, in the shade of an Eiffel-type glass roof, at the corner of Rue du Sentier, by pushing the doors of a nearby museum... because... “It is history that makes man and not man who makes history” #Hegel
